Custom Wood Privacy Fences

Custom Wood Privacy Fence
in Ajax, On

We built this solid wood privacy fence to secure the yard and define the property line. A lasting wood fence comes down to the framing—we set our posts deep in concrete and use heavy-duty rails so the panels do not sag, twist, or blow over in heavy winds.

A heavy-duty custom wood fence by Flann Fence & Deck. Thick 6x6 posts connected by sturdy 2x4 rails, a clean mid-rail design and applied two layers of 6-foot boards on one side.

Wood Fence Construction Details

The leading cause of leaning fences is shallow post holes. We dig our post holes below the frost line (typically 3.5 feet deep) and set every single post in solid concrete to prevent winter heaving.

We stick-build every fence on-site. This allows us to perfectly follow your yard’s natural grading and ensure tight, structurally sound joints from post to post.

We prefer building primarily with premium pressure-treated lumber for maximum longevity and rot resistance, but we can also source natural cedar if you prefer that specific look and finish.

It is crucial to know your exact property boundaries before digging. We always recommend homeowners confirm their property pins or obtain a survey to avoid any disputes with neighbours over the fence line.
