Support Post Replacement Details

Support posts need replacing when the wood begins to rot at the base, if the post is twisting or splitting severely, or if the structure above is sagging due to a sinking footing.

Most of the time, we use pressure-treated 4×4 posts set directly in concrete, or we utilize driven steel posts. For heavier structural needs, we will step up to 6×6 pressure-treated timbers.

A rotting post is usually the first sign that your entire fence is nearing the end of its life. A post replacement is a reliable short-term solution that will secure your fence for another 2 to 5 years, allowing you to safely delay the larger expense of a full fence replacement.

We safely support your existing fence panels, remove the failing post, and install the new post and structural foundation to straighten the fence line.

A failing support post compromises the entire structure above it. We ensure every replacement post is properly anchored to handle the weight and wind load.
