The Project Story
- The Challenge: This property required a strong, durable boundary that provided high privacy and could withstand the elements over time.
- The Solution: We built a custom wood fence using heavy-duty 6×6 posts and 2×4 rails. We used a clean mid-rail design and applied two layers of 6-foot boards on one side to maximize strength and coverage.
- The Outcome: A solid, highly durable privacy fence with a crisp finish that fits the space perfectly and is built for long-term reliability.
When we build a fence in Ajax, the goal is usually the same: real privacy and a structure that holds up to Southern Ontario’s wild weather swings. Standard builder-grade fences tend to warp or lean after a few harsh winters, so for this project, the homeowners wanted something built to last.
We don’t cut corners on the framing (or anything else). We anchored this custom wood fence using heavy-duty 6×6 posts instead of the standard 4x4s, and tied it together with solid 2×4 rails. To get the best combination of strength and absolute privacy, we went with a clean mid-rail design and double-layered the 6-foot boards on one side.
The result is exactly what you want in a privacy fence: private, solid, fits the yard perfectly, and it’s built to stay put for years.
